Lazy Saturday.

31st march. A VERY boring day,it's actually annoying :/
I have nothing to do, seriously nothing. No photos to edit, no homework to finish and nothing to study. Haven't used the camera since a long time...birthday is in a week and will be getting a DSLR, hence just waiting for that.
As I sit on my bed, with sun rays entering my room through the window, the level of lazy-ness just increases in me...I don't even feel like going out or something.I'm so bored that I'm not even making sense.:/
Anyways, I've been googling a lot about photography and photoshop tutorials. Boy, it does take quite a time to get the grasp of photoshop, maybe that's because i'm starting from the basics.
Also read a lot about aperture,ISO, shutter speed etc. I do get the concepts, however just can't remember which shutter speed is slower faster, which aperture is what etc. I've read them a hundred times, buy still. Maybe when i start experimenting with the SLR, I'll learn it. Anyways I'm typing all crap. I should probably go to sleep, or just look outside the window and wonder...

why so serious?

i recently clicked a friend of mine. i'm really bad at photoshop and collages, but she insisted me to blog this, i still wonder why. so here she is, all serious and thinking.

exams finish, boredom kickstarts.

It's March, my exams just got over and its springg yayy :D

hence the boredom starts. Sitting at home, not knowing what to do. Right now what I'm waiting for is to get a SLR. Probably in April. *crosses fingers*

if i do, i'll be TOO happy! but for now, i'll be editing and uploading some photographs i took a while back, not with a SLR though. and will probably write things that don't make sense, sigh.

THAILAND! *really big grin*
It's not the whole of Thailand, these are just pictures of Koh Samet, an island near it. One word to describe it? HEAVEN. It's ahhh-mazing. White sands, clear waters. Like totally clear blue waters. Paradise :)
I think Thailand is one of the really awesome places to visit. It's not too expensive, thai people are really welcoming, and there's so much to see. Most people go to Pattayya etc, but Koh Samet is amazing tooo. It's less crowded, hence more peaceful. It's a small island with beach resorts. And the resorts are AWESOME. You can just be at the beach the whole day, go snorkelling or jet skii and do many other water sports. Eat DELICIOUS food. Roam around the small islan of Koh Samet. See a spectacular fire show. I can go on and on...
Then comes Bangkok. I'm from India so for me, Bangkok is VERY similar. Except for the people ofcourse. The roads, buildings etc everything is similar to the capital of india - New Delhi. Bangkok has got many places to visit. Madame Tussauds is on the top. Then there's Tiger Temple. YOU GET SO CLOSE TO TIGERS! there are manyymanymany places. then comes shopping. you got everything, from hi-fi malls to flea markets with sosososo many possibilites of bargain.

So inshort, you should once visit Thailand! atleast once in your life. i know many of you may prefer other places, but Thailand is a must - bangkok, koh samet etc. they're too good! and thai people? really nice and welcoming. no interaction of mine with the Thai people was bitter, every local was willing to help and was understanding. always had a smile on the face, and hence i got to know why Thailand is known as the 'Land of smiles' :)

PICNIK PREMIUM FREEEEEE :D

1 year ago I typed www.picnik.com in the address bar and clicked enter and bam, there was this really attractive and wonderful editing website! I went through it, and loved it! loved my sister even more for suggesting it to me. i used to just put all those cute little stickers on pictures of my friends and me on Picnik when i was lame and all. i started using the other effects too and fell in love with it. but there was one thing that bugged me a lot - Picnik Premium. there were these SUPER AWESOME effects, but, you had to pay for them. bummer! i would always get annoyed at the fact that i can't change the colour of my eyes, or mess around with the colour of the hair, or turn my photo into a puzzle. now i obviously have moved on to other softwares like Picasa and Photoshop (just a beginner at CS3) but recently i visited Picnik and was shocked to find out that it's closing. WHY? no one knows. they're closing on 19th april 2012, but there's the fun part : picnik premium is free for everyone till it closes! just too awesomeeeeeee! i turned into a kid trying all those awesome effects i couldn't before. hence, go visit www.picnik.com NOW and try out the fun effects.

Used a friend's DSLR today, it was a Nikon D7000. AMAZING. this is a self shot. DSLR magic, every pore of my skin visible :S

This experience just added my wish of getting a DSLR to the top of my wish list. it was at the second position, it has now replaced the wish of 'getting thin.' MY WANT = DSLR. *draws unending number of hearts*
